Paul Gordon's window display in downtown ..this grand snow girl quickly found a home.
Join me for a little tour moments before the show opened..
These guys were sitting atop a shelf and I couldnt help but take notice of their regal presence.
Paul had some vintage treasures for sale, ready to tempt us all.

Getting together with friends is such a treat, especially around this time of year. We are having a very special gathering next weekend at the Friends in Christmas sale in Martinsburg WV Saturday Nov 19th. Artist Paul Gordon is hosting a small gathering of special artists just in time to begin your Holiday shopping. Paul Gordon's studio is chocked full of eye candy for all to see, and I am so anxious to join the party. Check it out for more info about the artists attending... you wont be disappointed... more info to follow....

Now that I've gotten my studio in order, I can finally begin working with a clear mind. These little fellas have been in the works for some time now, and at last, I can say they are "done"...
I am getting things ready for a small show out east on Nov 19th..more on that tomorrow,

It's coming together...

At last, I can say that it's looking pretty stellar in my studio.. I took a bit of a break to unpack a few Holiday decorations, you know to get me in the spirit.. so much to do. It's a brighter and cheerier space, and for that, I am pleased. This is a snippet from above my work space. It really makes me smile when I look up and see all their little faces.

Getting things out for the Holidays, and working on some fun needle felted penguins. Such fun....

changing of seasons inside and out...

Call me a bit crazy as this November rolls around, but I know it's coming... the darkness that seems to envelope my whole world, and leave me a tad bit hoo hoo. So this year, I've taken a new stance... meet it head on and merrily count the days down until there is more sunshine and light.. thus I am redoing my studio.
First of all, let me say...never try to spraypaint your countertop.. Yes, I know, it sounds like a quick solution.. just change it from dark and gloomy, to white.. did that... oh my, it was soooo NOT a quick fix.. do not believe those spray cans that tell you.. "will cover any surface.." I should also tell you that my good natured parter, Tom, also told me "no, no".... so now he has ever so patiently ripped off the old, and installed a new white counter, new and brighter lighting, and with that pretty fabric (shown above), I have made some nice under the counter curtains, and how nice is that checkerboard floor. It's looking much brighter in my world today! More on this tomorrow.

Halloween fun in a small town

We live out where no trick or treater's ever come, so my friend invited us to join them for a bit of a change.

See that pretty woman there with the long hair...this is my friend..

ahhh, yes, this is a better photo of Kristen. She is dressed as a very pregnant woman... actually, she didnt need a costume, as she is due in 5 weeks...check out her very handsome dog, Hudson.. he is a rescue dog, and oh so sweet.

these are two of her children (the two on the left)... my favorite kids in Michigan!

Of we cannot forget about Mason.. he came up with a very impressive costume all by himself.. we had a splendid nite.. I hope that yours was as much fun.
