Ghoultide fun

I've been working on these owls all week. Last year I made some larger owls that really pleased me, but somehow these babes make me a little giddy. Perhaps I should step-up the pace a bit.
Only 7 days before Ghoultide..yikes..no sleep for me!

First day of fall

Am working on Halloween treats for the Ghoultde Gathering event next week, and thinking that fall was definitely in the air. Our yard became a gathering place for thousands of blackbirds this morning.

Living out in the country, you become very aware of the change of seasons... I wonder where these birds go... One day, as the flock gets noise'er, and more restless, they will just take off in a whirr, and they will be gone... I would like to pack my bag and travel with them...

Fun at the Junk Bonanza

Samples from a 50 year collection of bus passes...

A graphic girls dream.... oh such fun Kinny. thanks for the great time.

Who can resist these vintage dogs. They were hand drawn prints... so sweet.

I wanted this green glider. remembering the days when one had time to sit and contemplate.

Ok, this was the finest baby crib ever...

And it was such a tiny size... probably for all those small arts and crafts houses built in the 50's
in Minneapolis. The Junk Bonanza was such a treat... a great ending to a great weekend.

Creative Connection Event

Murphy Bears at the Handmade Market

and of course, the needlefelted birds

One of my favorite booths at the Handmade Market... cotton batting creatures by Crystal . These are the best!!! I wanted them all, but settled for an owl and a snowman.... and so it all begins.
The turkey was hilarious..

Another sweet booth at the Handmade Market. I am crazy about anything letterpressed, and they had some great old stuff in Jenni's booth

lots o' fun paper stuff....

It all went by so quickly. It's difficult to believe that 3 days could fly by so fast. Next year I will be more organized, and take more pictures...

Tea anyone??? This is one of my favorite teapots. I found it at an estate sale and had to bring it home with me. There's only one problem... no lid. So it holds my favorite bouquet of the season. Ahhhh, fall...There's a coolness to the air. A splendid relief from the hot hot supressive

heat of summer...

This funny little fella makes me laugh. His little button says "you cant keep a squirrel on the ground", taken from an old pinback I have... sounds appropriate, doesnt it?
