busy

Nothing like a little blue bird to bring a little cheer to my life.
Couldn'tbe happier with these these fellas...we will post when our Holiday Update will be very soon...
I just got my box of luscious mohair yesterday. This one is going to be so special ...a big 28" one. Check out the vintage rexine pads.
I saw this mohair in Baltimore but it was only a small piece. As luck would have it, they had a larger piece in California. Yipee!!!

todays walk

Today is rainy and unseasonably warm for November, but seeing this little fella on the road was, well.. ok, so what season is this. Perhaps he was looking for a comfortable place to spend the holidays, but the middle of our dirt road was definitely NOT it. He is now residing in a bed of leaves. Ahhh, Pat to the rescue.
I have been working all day today on lots of fun Holiday pieces. I'm very happy with the results and will make pictures tomorrow. After all, I've been busy rescuing frogs .

a good day

I dont know what it is about the hunt, but I really do enjoy "finding" ... I go for a walk, I pick up acorns, or rose hips, sometimes pieces of wood, a stone, anything really. I go shopping, I pick up pennies on the sidewalk. My friend and I went for an outing yesterday, and this is what I came home with. Not bad I'd say, although I didnt find these laying on the road or sidewalk. I shouldnt bring anything more into the house, but sometimes you just cant help yourself. I just like collecting things...I love the old velveteen animals, and these are just the cutest! The little clowns are for my friend Jody who will make them into something special.

Sunny, sunny, sunnny.. the weather was great, and look at the color that was still lingering thru the hills of Pennsylvania
We stopped at this wonderful tavern and B/B in Pa. We've always admired it from the turnpike, and after 15 years , we finally stopped.

a cold clear day in Michigan. Our sunny days are numbered this time of year. Day 1 of November...beautiful.
Only 29 more to go... if they could all be like this one, I would be such a happy gal .
perfect for hanging out sheets. I love the smell of line-dried bedding. It brings me back to simpler times and makes me realize how fortunate I am to live out here in the country.

This is my favorite set of sheets, and I had a little tear. I refuse to toss them, they're so soft and comfortable. So I made this cute patch that makes me laugh alot. Simple pleasures...
