I have taken a respite from the gardening scene, as the heat is just too much here in Michigan and the mosquitoes have been relentless. It is so rewarding to needlefelt one of these little fellas. This is an order that I am working on today. I do love the birdies... Stay cool everyone, wherever you are. Is it this hot allover????
It was such a fun weekend at the Earth Angels Event. The setting was so serene.... even a babbling brook in back of this great Antique shop, and the weather was fab. These are some lovelies that are still looking for a home at Earth Angels. Be sure to check out the live on line Web Show on Sunday May 23rd for more new Murphy Bear treats. Good times, great friends.
I am breathing a big sigh of relief that I can actually see a light at the end of my tunnel of bears for the Earth Angel Event this weekend... and so I'm catching up on my internet perussing, so I stopped by the Creative Connection to read more about what's happenin' in September in Minneapolis.. This is going to be SO MUCH FUN! There are some great sounding Panel discussions that I am very excited about sitting in on as well as a huge "Junk Bonanza" going on with 100 juried national and regional vendors of antiques and vinage wares... not to mention the great list of teachers that will be sharing their knowlege by teaching some amazing classes. Yes, I will be teaching a couple of them too. If you havent signed up to come, or are still sitting on the fence, take the time to check it. It's going to be a great time...
The lineup... I wish that I had time to lay in the sunshine... these fellas ejoyed their day in sunny Michigan. Now for who they'll be when they grow-up. That is the fun part... Drying the others will be a challange as there is rain forecasted for the weekend... oh, dear!
I have been working well in to the nite getting ready for next weeks journey to Warwick NY. I have baskets of bears in different stages of progress. These guys will be dyed today and sitting in the sunshine enjoying the lovely spring day. Check out Earth Angels Spring Event...hope to see you there!
I have such fond memories of planting pansies from my childhood. We would drive to a dig-your-own pansey field with our little hand basket in tow, and would spend hours finding our favorite colors and ooh'ing and ah'ing over their cute little faces. And so, each spring on my mother's birthday, I plant them in remembrance of my mom. This is where I've been for the past few weeks. But now I'm back, and will try to stay out of the garden.... well for as much as I can.
