I have such fond memories of planting pansies from my childhood. We would drive to a dig-your-own pansey field with our little hand basket in tow, and would spend hours finding our favorite colors and ooh'ing and ah'ing over their cute little faces. And so, each spring on my mother's birthday, I plant them in remembrance of my mom. This is where I've been for the past few weeks. But now I'm back, and will try to stay out of the garden.... well for as much as I can.
