I've been collecting a few things for little Hazel's Easter basket.. This is some special tape from the Fabric Bar that I thought might divert her attention away from the special chocolate bunny that will be standing proud and tall in the vintage basket. Remember those cute Easer baskets from the 50's? Well, I do have a tiny stash of them, and thought I would fill it for her. Baby Claude is too small for one..next year maybe. I have a few little handmade chicks that will go very nicely in there too.. What goes in the baskets these days? Guess whatever one likes. We've decide to take a trip to see what that nice weather in Minneapolis is all about... Happy Easter everyone.
Thanks once again for the overwhelming response to our Welcome Spring Update Here are a few guys that are still available... spring is definitely here in Michigan...

Only 2 days before our " Welcome Spring" update.. there's so much to do. I am really loving this new rabbit pattern that I've been working on, but the 7" and 9"are tricky... check out the shoes and socks...pretty cute I say.
It's been quite the ride this week...trying to get both studios ready for the "Where Women Create" magazine photo shoot( Aug/Sept that issue #8), and trying to prepare for our annual Welcome Spring update It certainly has been a great experience, with a fantastic photographer, but now I must call in a magician to help get it all done... no gourmet dinners going on here this week. At any rate, here's another little peek into my world of fun, that I thought you might enjoy.
I know for certain which came to be ...first here in the studio! I'm so pleased with these little chicks. They make me smile and realize how wonderous spring can be. There's something so irresistable in the springtime that always compells me to make hand-painted paper mache eggs. We have finally set a date for our "Welcome to Spring" Update... We will be sending out notices to everyone sooooon... but for now, mark your calenders for Thursday March 25th, 6p.m...that's eastern time.
I'm finishing up the last of my Birthday "to do" treats... everyone loves special bedding ... these are some pillowcases that just had to be made before I become so involved in the new "Spring-Easter" Website Update ...I have so many fun things started. Spring makes me crazy thinking of chicks, and eggs, and bunnies and... well, more news on that in the next few days.
After the past few days of warm weather, our record amt of snowfall is giving it up, and making us hopeful that spring is actually right around the corner. Today is a special day, not only because the snowdrops are in bloom, and the earliest of daffodils are budding, but today is Jennifer's Birthday. How she loves daffodils... Happy Birthday dear Jen... I send you these flowers to brighten your day.

We have taken to celebrating birthdays over the course of 7 days.... yes we have "Birthday Week", and it's become quite the way to also usher in spring. February was a banner month for snowfall with a record breaking total of 37.3 inches. You can understand why "Birthday Week" is such a necessity after that much snow. Along with all that snow is the sunny-day deficit. We also have a shortage of sun in the winter, so when my birthday week was 5 full days of sunshine and 40 degrees, I was out enjoying every minute.... I smelled the roses... I jumped rope(in the sunshine with no help from Bobby )... fabric shopping.... knit my socks and a Farmer's Market extravaganza.. All in all, a splendid week... Spring fever I certainly do have... but I am rejuvenated.

Here it is guys... the first of two classes that I'll be teaching in September at The Creative Connection Event Who says you can’t create your own good luck? Sign up for this sweet little "Lucky Horseshoe" memento class. Just bring your imagination and enthusiasm ...
Well, can you believe that it's the 1st of March. How time flies by these days. I am VERY glad to be done with February, and very glad that there was no 29th this year. Having a Leap Year Birthday has some advantages...like on none Leap years, you dont get any older, and that has some plus'es I think. I've been working like crazy trying to get together some St Patty's goodies, and had to show you a little stash that I have been hoarding away...great old die-cuts.
