I found these dried gourd rattles and was so excited to pick up my paintbrush ...now I'm not a painter, but I think they turned out pretty sweet... every good bear needs a rattle to scare away the boogie man on Halloween nite...

10th Annual Fall/Hallween Update Thurs Oct 20th

Hi Everyone,
Happy Fall! As I write this message, the fog is lifting (both inside and out) and the early morning sun is lighting up the reds, yellows and oranges of the nearby maples. Ah, fall... the pumpkins and gourds showing their festive colors make me a bit giddy, as do the asters and mums. Who cannot love this time of year as the season winds down and we prepare for the trick or treaters and the bobbing of apples...

We wish you could all stop by for some mulled cider and ghoulish cookies to see what we have created for this fall season. I smile as I prepare the house for this special time of year, bringing out my Halloween collection that has been limited to a section in our dining room.. How does it happen that this collection has wandered into the kitchen and dining room this year?

Please join us for our 10th Annual Fall/Halloween Update on Thursday October 20th 6 pm EDT ( 5 pm central, 4 pm pacific time).. we supply the treats for your enjoyment. so where have we been...

I can hardly believe that October is here and Ghoultide is over...
I couldnt be in 2 places at once, and realized at a late date that I had double booked myself for Ghoultide weekend. My God daughter's wedding in Iowa took presidence, of course, so there are no photos of Ghoultide this year. My stand-in, Connie did a great job at the show, but I felt sad that I missed such an outstanding affair... Note to self... to take it a little slower these days... breathing deeply, drinking up the beauty that is all around me and enjoying what each day may bring..
That said, I have cancelled Country Living Atlanta appearence, and concentrating on The Halloween Web Update.. to be announced soooon...
These sunny warm October days are breathing new life into my weary bones... ahhh, if the sunshine, blue skies and warm weather could only last.

Long nites and early mornings are on the agenda this week... These little lovelies are anxious for the party to begin.. they're hoping that someone will remember the candy corn and the dove chocolates..

Ghoultide Gathering.. in 1 week...

I can hardly comprehend where the summer has gone, and now we are galloping into fall.. What better way to celebrate than to be getting ready for my favorite show of the year.. For those of you that arent aware of this show(How can that possibly be), you must check out the fantastic lineup of very talented artists that will be in Michigan next weekend for the Ghoultide Gathering Show. These little fellas I conjured up whilst traveling on those long trips back and forth to Minneapolis.. Something nice about needle felting...very portable. They make me smile...

Junk Bonanza at last ......

It's been a bit crazy here for the past month or so. From vacationing in northern Minnesota, helping with Jen's big move, to getting ready for 3 shows and traveling back out to Minnesota for the Junk Bonanza this past weekend. There is just no way to shorten that 10-12 hr trip... Yup, we're tired.. Here a a few clips from our very eclectic booth .. more pics coming soon... thank you all for your emails ..
