Well, I have been accessing my fabric situation and have come to the conclusion that one never has enough fabric. I do scour the internet for fabrics, and here are some that I lost out on the other day on ebay. They went for an extraordinary price, and the largest piece was only 13". So needless to say, I will not be incorporating them into baby Claude's quilt.
Now for some of you that have been asking about fabrics, and where Jen and I might shop... We do fun fabric shopping when we're together, but that is not often enough...sooo...a great place is Purl out of NYC. They have just about any fabric that a person could ever need or want. Another good site is Reprodepot Have fun with those sites... you might want to grab a nice warm beverage as you might be there for awhile...
The snowball quilt is a fun project. you may get the "How To" book on Amazon.

another quilting project

Quilting has always been a true diversion for me, and awhile back I made the Bull's Eye quilt that some of you admired It seemed to be just perfect for baby Claude to hang out on. It's just a perfect size for curling up in a cozy chair,or even better for a baby.
While Jen and I were out and about, we picked out some yummy fabrics perfect for baby Claude's new quilt. I have been saving bits and pieces for some time now, and this is the perfect quilt for using these tiny bit's of yum. It's called the snowball quilt... what an appropriate name, and o' so easy. Check out the sweet fabric that I found awhile ago for the back of the quilt... It surely looks like something that Jen would love... as it turns out, yes, she found the same fabric...wonder what she will do with hers.....great minds run down familiar paths....

a short visit

Our visit with Jen and Claude was fabulous. We spent alot of time just hanging out. there's nothing like having a baby around. They bring you such joy. Being a "nana" is truly the best!

look who's coming....

We're so excited about a visit from Jen and baby Claude. They are arriving in 3 days.. Cant't wait.... hope the snow stops soon.

Well, only 4 days left to get these handmade cards to "my Valentine's" I love the old cards, but also enjoy making a few. It sneaks up on me every year, so to all of
you... Happy Valentine's Day.. You may or may not get my card in a timely fashion... a good thing to do on this snowy blustery day... 9-12" of the white stuff predicted ...

I am always humbled by the response whenever we have a new website update. Thank you one and all. For those of you that have patiently waited for the site to appear, to those who have been disappointed by losing out on a new love, but still returned, eager to see our latest creations and to those who have returned year after year... a BIG thank-you. It is thru these long distant connections, that we have managed to do what we love, and we have made some wonderful friends along the way.....
This little gal is the only one that hasn't found a home. It's so difficult photographing dark bears , but she's so sweet!

I'm working like crazy getting ready for our Valentine's Update on Thursday...couldn't be happier with this little guy's hat. It's made from a vintage cloth covered button. I cant imagine embroidering the star on it. Pretty sweet....
