This little gal is very happy with her little outfit . I do think that she'll make a real statement in the fall fashion lineup. Tim Gund would be pleased. And who doesn't love striped socks.....

This little fella came as such a surprise today in the mail. It is a gift from a customer, and couldn't be any cuter. It is a limited edition of 16, and this one is #8 (my lucky number)...

He has settled in quite nicely. Thank you so much Lynn....

Finally.....

Vacation is all about taking time to do things that you might not

take time to do in your normal ( I have too much to do) kinda day. I started these socks a year ago, and never quite found the time to finish them... and who can go around wearing just one sock

, especiaaly with fall just around the corner. So, with needles in hand, they went to the north shore with me. I do know a special kind of gal that could help me out, as I had to do some ripping out one one of the socks, and then.... well, I had lost my place on the pattern. (This is why I normally only knit scarves). Can anyone out there relate to my inabiltity to know where you are after you've let a knitting project go for 6 mos. And, to top that off, I had been knitting awhile on the wrong page on my pattern.....sooo... my expert instructor, aka , Jen, helped me find my way to finishing the 2nd sock. My other foot thanks you Jen!

A Minnesota Northshore vacation

We all met on Lake Superior's Northshore.. A family get-together is never quite long enough, especially when you are on such a beautiful body of water. Lake Superior is cold, clean and oh so special.

I was given a pkt of zinnia seeds this spring, and I am in love with these golden ones with red centers... never seen them before, and they didnt show them on the pkt but I love 'm ....

And who can resist the color combinations of black- eyed susans and swamp milkweed. I love the way you can blend the colors in a garden scheme... way too much fun!
