A memorable time...

This weekend was so special. Seeing old friends, and making new... That's what makes what we do so great.... "A Gathering of Friends" in Orange County California on Saturday was certainly a

culmination of efforts from so many people.... It was a huge sucess, and we are already making plans for 2012.... a special thanks to Dana, Jack, Nancy, Janis, Carolyn, Debbee, Jamie, Lori, and Linda. We could not have done this show without your help.... and of course, a huge thank-you to all who came.... what an extraordinary event.

Yipee.... we start Daylight Savings Time ... "spring" ahead 1 hour today. Surely winter is on the "outs"... I am loving that thought. Cheers to everyone that's as excited as I.

can spring be far away...

As I was sitting in my studio yesterday, I realized that there have been times in March when the temperatures have soared and suddenly the daffodils and tiny snowdrops would be poking there heads up and showing us that, yes, spring was just around the corner.....not so this year. So in response to this rather drab time of year in Michigan, I am creating my own colorful bouquets.
It is quite the juggling act that I have going on here...getting ready for a Spring Web Update (more on that in a few days),as well as preparing for "A Gathering of Friends". it certainly makes the days fly by... and dont forget..... daylight savings time starts this weekend....yeh.......

rain, rain, and more rain today. ... But it's getting rid of all this leftover March snow. Our road is definitely a huge mudbowl. Not the place to walk right now... In the studio it's warm and cozy. This little gal is ready to fly away with me to sunny California for "Our Gathering of Friends" weekend... we are soooo excited about this event.

magical morning in March

Ice crystals on fence wires, and everywhere.

This morning was a magical one with the sun shining on all these ice crystals that had formed on everything.. it was hard to imagine ....millions of crystals everywhere... It doesnt happen very often, but oh so lovely. Makes you glad to have gotten out of bed even tho Oscar wasn't so thrilled to be out...

What is it about this time of year that makes me crazy for anything that comes out of an egg....I've been working on these fellas for the past week, and am so pleased with them... After all, it IS almost St Patty's Day, and my name is Murphy.. I just love the felt circles in their legs, even tho they are alot of work, they make me smile. If this is March, can spring be far away.... It's feeling very spring-like here in the studio this morning. After what seems like a very long winter, there's nothing like a little color to bring you out of the winter doldrums... We are getting things well underway for March 26th in sunny California... cant wait!!! If anyone needs more information about "A Gathering of Friends", we will be posting on our website today...if you are on our mailing list, we will be sending out postcards this week.
